The Curriculum of "Proactive Research Commons”
Conducted during the two terms of S2 and A1. Students are required to select two lectures of
the four or five core themes offered as intensive lectures in S2 term
and learn the core skills. In the following A1 term, students will work on ideas for applications to manufacturing, development, and research through the integration of core technologies, as well as discussions and presentations of the results.
※Consistent enrollment from S2 term to A1 is a prerequisite.
※This lecture is one of the elective subjects in the WINGS-PES program.
S2 Term
` - 1st stage
Students may choose and take two lectures from the five core themes.
Each lecture will be offered as intensive style of "3periods x 2days" or "2 periods x 3 days" from late July to August. All lecture schedules and Place will be posted on UTAS in late April. A pre-survey questionnaire will be sent out to participants in late June to determine which two themes they will choose.
Through S2 term, students are expected to acquire the two core concepts and skills from core subjects.
A1 Term
A1 term consists two stages below.

Work on ideas for applications to manufacturing, research and development through the integration of core technologies

Presentation and discussion.
Grades will be assessed by attendance, work, and presentation. Four credits is granted for "Proactive Research Commons".
